This policy explains what data "Live Translation" (hereinafter referred to as "the Service", including the iPhone app, Android app, and website translate.lifestracker.com) collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and how you can delete it.

Data we collect

• Account: The email and name provided when you sign in with Google or Apple. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we only receive an Apple relay address.
• Voice: When translation starts, microphone audio is transmitted in real time for speech recognition and translation.
• Transcripts, translations, and AI summaries: Saved to your account so you can view and download them later.
• Recording: Audio files are saved only when you turn on Recording.
• Usage records: Timestamp, duration, Model used, cost, and Credit for each translation, used for billing and displaying your usage.
• Logins and devices: Login timestamps, IP addresses, and whether you use the web or an app (e.g., iPhone app), used for account security and statistics.
• Payment: Subscriptions and top-ups are handled by the App Store or Google Play. We do not obtain your credit card details; we only receive the purchased items, amount, and transaction ID.
• Your own API key: Stored encrypted and used only to call Google Gemini on your behalf. It will never be displayed or sent back to your device.
• Customer support: Content you send to us and your email address for replies.

How to use

Used only to provide this service: translation, History, summaries, billing, customer support, abuse prevention, and aggregate usage statistics. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Our backend only displays aggregate statistics (such as user count, hours used, and costs), with no feature to view others' transcripts, translations, or recordings.

Who we share data with

• Google (Gemini API): Your voice and text are sent for recognition, translation, and summarization. This service uses Google's paid tier; per Google's terms, this content will not be used to improve Google products (Google may retain it temporarily to detect abuse).
• When using your own API key, how data is handled follows the Google terms applicable to that key. Google's free tier may use this content to improve products.
• Cloudflare: Hosts the service; databases and Recording files are stored on Cloudflare.
• Apple, Google Play, and RevenueCat: Process subscriptions and top-ups. We only send an anonymous account ID to RevenueCat, not your email.
• Sign in with Google and Sign in with Apple: Used to verify your identity.

Retention and deletion

Data is retained until you delete it. You can delete any conversation from History at any time, or delete your entire account (see the "Delete Account" page for details).

Deleting your account will delete your conversations, transcripts, Recording files, customer support records, and login records. Usage and payment ledger records will be retained without email and anonymized, used only for accounting audits.

Age

This service is only available to users 18 years of age and older.

Your rights

You can view and download your History, correct or delete data, or revoke consent (stop using the service and delete your account).
